This is a re-conceptualization of Something Unlimited in a new engine with a rewritten story, entirely new mechanics, and repurposed, edited, and custom assets. ST is a true trainer game first and foremost, focusing on user choices in capturing, training, or wooing heroines and villainesses.In this game you play as a recently Pardoned Lex Luthor, intent on rebuilding the criminal empire that’s fallen on hard times during your long absence. A recent "project" Roulette has been working on proves to be an idiosyncratic, but highly profitable, way to springboard yourself back to the top and rebuild the Legion. : Purpose of the Game Something Trainer is my take on one of the games that sparked my interest in this genre of entertainment. First played back when most girls didn’t have "strip" or "special" content, let alone what it moved towards becoming.As far as it’s the purpose and spirit, it started out as a personal project to work on the structure and coding of Renpy games, using one of my favorites as it’s core, but grew into something much larger in scope.
On the program side of things, it’s a canvas to work and improve as I learn new techniques for structuring mechanics. It is a WIP, rapidly improving under the hood. (concerning UI, people on every site I’ve polled overwhelming vote for new content, versus polish of functional interfaces) As far as writing, It allows me to hone my writing and story building skills and experiment with evolving dialogue trees to craft complex, replayable narratives. It’s been a fun experience these past few months I’ve worked on Something trainer, watching it evolve from a small linear VN into a full game of it’s own with an ever increasing amount of new art and assets.
